Yoga has been in my life for years, but when I moved to Asheville, it became a way of life. It started out as a supportive addition to my movement practice when I was dancing everyday as a teenager. I liked the structure and fluidity that I felt I could physically flow between while doing asana. When I moved to Asheville, I was hungry to find a way to move my body. Yoga seemed like a supportive and straightforward way to do that, so I took a class at Asheville Community Yoga, and I kept coming back. I was amazed to find so many different types of asana, and I soon discovered that yoga is much more than a physical practice. Each time I step onto my mat I learn more about myself and that is what compelled me to participate in the 250-hour teacher training at Asheville Community Yoga. I am excited to continue to grow, discover and play in such a supportive community.
