Yoga has been in my life for years, but when I moved to Asheville it became a way of life. It started out as a supportive addition to my movement practice when I was dancing everyday as a teenager. I liked the structure and fluidity that I felt I could physically flow between while doing asana. When I moved to Asheville I was hungry to find a way to move my body. Yoga seemed like a supportive and straightforward way to do that. I took a class at Asheville Community Yoga, and I kept being drawn back to try the same and different classes. I soon discovered that yoga is much more than a
physical practice. Going to the same class each week I would have an entirely different experience. Each time I step onto my mat I have the opportunity to learn more about myself and that is what compelled me to participate in the 250-hour teacher training at Asheville Community Yoga. I am excited to continue to grow, discover and play in such a supportive community.
