Yoga is a way of life. Yoga is life in connection. I teach yoga because I feel a mystical pull to contribute to the well being and healing of humanity, to be a conduit and vessel for the divine and to exemplify that the divine is within us all. I teach yoga to offer my gifts to the world, to be of service to others and to share love. I am an artist, yogini, healer, and human, excited to witness the process of healing and evolution in others and myself, contributing to the healing and uplifting of humanity, the earth, and the cosmos.
Yoga has transformed my life in so many ways. Physically, yoga has assisted in healing my body from back aliments to digestive discomfort. Emotionally, yoga helps me be compassionate and aware of my emotional body and how to hold space for my emotional self, to channel emotional energy in healthy ways. Mentally, yoga helps me witness and observe thoughts without judgement, it helps me live in my body. And spiritually, yoga has supported my awareness of divine within me and all around me, of my sacred connection to the universal organism.
My passions are dancing, yoga, and nature, being free in my body and connecting with the part inside that is unchanging and persistent. I also passionately operate my own handmade jewelry business working in mixed metals, creating to reveal the quaint ruins of past and ethnic cultures through forming objects of protection, beauty, emotion, and narrative. I also work in transformational natural healing, through ritual ceremonies, plant and animal medicine, movement, and breath work, I also administer Kambo or frog medicine, and assist others towards healing their bodies and spirits.
Julie’s Class:
Warm Vinyasa Flow (L 1 & 2)
Tuesdays from 4:00 to 5:15 pm
In this engaged warm vinyasa flow class we will establish deep awakening to the breath/ movement connection. We will have the opportunity to explore our relationship with self in safety and non-judgment, inviting mindfulness into our flow and always cultivating a strong relationship with breath. In the practice of listening to the body, be prepared for some challenging poses that build heat, but also encourage softening into clarity and freedom. Our class will end with a resting savasana and perhaps a sitting meditation to restore and welcome integration for the mind/ body/ spirit.
Vinyasa Flow (L 1 & 2)
Wednesdays from 12:00 to 1:00 pm
Join me in a lunchtime, diverse and activating Vinyasa flow class on Wednesdays. We will begin slowly by deepening connection to our breath and awakening our bodies to movement and stretching. The pace will increase as we bring more mindfulness and challenge into our movements, maintaining a strong relationship with breath. As we align more naturally with our breath, we may experience shifts within our being, our true essence may shine more fully, and we may feel clarity and peace. Our class will end with a resting savasana and perhaps a sitting meditation to restore the mind and body in preparation for the rest of the day.
