Joy came to yoga after about a year at a stressful desk job. She was anxious, depressed, and fatigued and her chronic back pain was only getting worse. It took only a few classes for her to know her life was going to start changing at a rapid pace. Within a few months her pain had reduced significantly, her mood was much better and she had developed a much healthier perspective on life. The spark of personal growth that she got through yoga inspired her to start sharing yoga with others. She eventually quit her desk job and went to yoga teacher training. Joy’s hunger to learn more has taken her to trainings for mindfulness, remedial yoga, yin yoga and hot yoga. Joy is inspired by the complexity and beauty of the human body and spirit and considers herself an eternal student, always ready to learn something new.
