Jessie has a deep love and respect for yoga. She believes it works beyond mere movement and has the ability to bring us to a space where we can observe, accept, love, and nurture ourselves. She has been a practitioner of yoga for over ten years and a teacher for more than five. She received her 200-hour teacher certification from Shoshoni Ashram outside of Boulder, CO after completing a one month immersion course. She has also completed further training with Shoshoni in adjustments, yoga therapy, and meditation instruction. Jessie currently works as a massage therapist at Unity Healing Arts and likes to draw from her knowledge of bodywork to give gentle adjustments to willing students. She hopes every student leaves her class with a firmer grounding in themselves and a confidence to continue to meet life’s challenges and grow.
Vinyasa Flow (L1&2)
Fridays from 9:45 to 10:45 am
This slow flow will give each person time to dedicate to alignment, intention, and release. We will start each class with a meditative or mindful exercise to help check in with the body and meet ourselves where we are with each practice. We will move forward with intention and explore our body’s full range of motion through a variety of poses. The flow will encourage our muscles to both lengthen and strengthen to help optimize the movement and the stability of our joints. Gentle hands on assists will be offered to help align, relax, and ground into postures but space will always be given to those who prefer to practice without adjustments. Come experience the power of intention and breath in this lovely “yin-yasa” style flow!
