Does the spiritual dimension of your practice come through in your teaching?
Are you looking for new ways to appeal to the developing spirituality of your students?
Interested in learning about the traditional style of yoga called BHAKTI YOGA?
Need to clarify for yourself, how spirituality is understood and practiced in your practice?
This workshop is an opportunity for teachers to explore the subject of spirituality in the context of their ongoing yoga classes. The traditional style of Bhakti Yoga will be discussed but we will go beyond that to include a more current revitalization of spirituality that crosses divisive lines of culture and religion. We will share examples of language, practices, and class design that set the stage for a meaningful spiritual experience for your yoga students. We will delve into our own spiritual core for clarity, as we define our individual goals for our teaching. Be prepared for discussion and sharing, reflection and journaling, meditation, physical practice, pranayama, and chanting. Since all yoga teaching is always an evolving process, new and very experienced teachers are welcome! This course is designed for current teachers, but anyone who is interested in the subject matter is welcome to join!
