Love to read? Love to talk about books with kind, smart, like-minded friends? Keep it in the community with ACY’s new book group starting in September. We will meet the last Tuesday of each month from 6-8 p.m. in the Karma Café to discuss novels, memoirs, short stories, and biographies about interesting and meaningful lives lived “off the mat.”
No need to sign up in advance, just a commitment to read the book choice of the month and enjoy some time spent in lively conversation with dinner or a cup of tea. Be sure to bring a recommendation or two of books that the group might enjoy.
Our first book is yoga teacher and activist Seane Corn’s “Revolution of the Soul,” which will be released September 3rd. (See the ACY newsletter for an announcement of a joint event with Malaprop’s bookstore – autographed copy of the book included with ticket purchase – https://ashevillecommunityyoga.com/community-events/an-evening-with-seane-corn/) See Dana Maria or Martha Scarborough if you have any questions or suggestions about the group.
