Our March Teacher of the Month is Katie Freshman! Her teachings are beyond creative and engaging. She shows up so fully for her students, really putting in the time to prepare well thought out themes and sequences. Her lighthearted nature and precise alignment cues carry her classes through even the most challenging poses with poise and laughter. We appreciate Katie’s enthusiasm and her putting in the extra effort to help clean up the studio spaces after classes that she attends and teaches. She also regularly comes in to sub classes as a volunteer, in addition to the classes she already teaches. Katie currently teaches the Friday Morning 8:00-9:00am Vinyasa Flow, as well as the Saturday Afternoon 3:30-4:30 Warm Vinyasa Flow.

How did you find Asheville Community Yoga?
I came to visit Asheville 5 years ago, Asheville Community Yoga was the place I found consistently having classes that could fit around my schedule while touring the area. I was in absolute awe of how big a non-profit studio could be. Upon moving here I knew there was no question as to where I would continue my practice.
Thank you for being a part of our community Katie, we deeply appreciate you!
