Are you new to yoga and not sure what to expect when you step into a class for the first time? Do you have a regular practice, but wish to dive deeper into understanding how to create more stability and balance in your poses? Does your mind fill up with questions whenever you come to class? Foundations of Yoga is a perfect prerequisite to our Yoga Immersion and suitable for those who’ve never practiced, as well as those with a regular practice, looking to refine it with individualized guidance and suggestions for a more sustainable, strong practice.
Designed as a 4 week series, we will begin from the foundation up, learning more about where the practice began and why, exploring traditional asanas (poses) with modifications for comfort and balance, diving deeper into the experience of breath in our bodies, and building a healthy practice to fit your lifestyle and individual needs. Handouts will be provided and time will be allotted in each class for questions. It’s recommended you attend each week of the 4 week series because we will build on our experience and learning from week to week, learning deeper aspects of this beautiful practice of yoga.
Thursdays in October from 7 to 8:45 pm
(October 3, 10, 17, 24)
$100 for this 4 week series
