In the Tantric tradition, the Yoga of Sound is known as Nada Yoga. Nada in Sanskrit means “ current of sound” and is the perfect word for describing what ancient scientists knew and modern scientist now confirm: We and our world are composed of frequency and vibration.
By chanting and singing ancient yogic mantras in Sanskrit with live instrumentation, the hidden power of sacred sound raises our vibrational frequency with untold benefits by reconnecting us with our true nature.
This practice is very powerful, and not only yogi’s know this. Since the beginning of time many spiritual traditions have seen the value and importance of using vocal vibration of sound with musical instruments in their meditation practices and rituals.
In this 2 hr playshop, we will:
Explore meditative breath and listening exercises to heighten our sonic experience.
Learn to chant simple mantras to enhance our daily life and re-tune chakra system.
Sing ancient sanskrit chants to live instrumentation for heart opening connection. Hand-outs will be provided.
As a teacher and practitioner of sonic mysticism, Linda Go has developed her own composition of this profoundly rich and effective Nada Yoga tradition. She utilizes her intuitive musical gifts, soulful voice, and deep appreciation for Sanskrit: one of the most effective languages for unlocking sonic portals to experience samadhi.
Yoga of Sound Playshop is open to everybody; there is no need to be a confirmed singer or musician, the idea being able to find in one’s own voice a tool for well-being, self-healing and divine connection. The Yoga of Sound Playshop will deepen your meditation practice, introduce sound healing tools for your new or growing yogic practice and give you the opportunity to experience sonic samadhi, floating free in the mystical ocean of sound vibration.
