Yoga teaches us that we are each born whole, complete, and perfect!! Due to our many life experiences we tend to forget this state of wholeness, we forget who we truly are, and we get lost in our physical, mental, and emotional reactions to life.
Human life continually presents us with a vast array of emotions. While we tend to embrace and even cling to the “positive” ones, happiness, love, peacefulness; we often resist and even bury what we may label as “negative” emotions; stress, fear, anxiety, grief. A holistic Yoga practice offers us practical tools and philosophy to help release the sufferings and ease the challenging emotions that arise from being human.
In Yogic Philosophy it is explained that there are two main reasons we get stuck in negative emotions; samskaras (or karmic knots) and lack of prana (or vital life force energy), and that we have 5 distinct layers to our being; physical, energetic, mental/emotional, wisdom, and bliss.
In this workshop we’ll work with a full repertoire of yogic techniques including posture, breathwork, mantra, meditation, and yogic wisdom to support your emotional body, work with samskaras, and increase the intake of prana. You’ll gain a deeper understanding of how to witness your thought patterning so that you can reunite with your pure essence, your wholeness!
