Once again, we will be heading downtown to engage in compassionate communication and loving-kindness with the homeless population.
Please note: We have rescheduled for NEXT Saturday, February 3rd from 2 to 4 due to the rain today
Throughout the month of January, we will be collecting scarves, hats, gloves, and socks to take to the people living on the streets of Asheville (please do not donate coats, as we will be carrying the items with us as we walk downtown). Everyone is welcome! It’s a wonderful family activity, so feel free to bring your children.
We will meet in the Harris Teeter parking lot (closest to the AAA building) at 2 pm and walk in groups of 4 to 6 people, distributing scarves, hats, gloves, and socks to those in need. More importantly, we will engage in conversations with people and spend a few moments with them. It’s a beautiful, connecting experience!
Please plan to dress appropriately for being outside and for walking long distances. Bring a backpack or reusable bags to carry the things we will be handing out. Most importantly, bring a smile!
PLEASE NOTE WE WILL BE LEAVING THE PARKING LOT NO LATER THAN 2:15, SO IF YOU ARRIVE AFTER THAT PLEASE PLAN TO MEET US DOWNTOWN.
