I have been studying yoga since 1989 first as a student at Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute, Pune, India then the wonderful journey led to a 3 year teacher training under the guidance of Guruji. I also spent a summer at K Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga Yoga Institute, Mysuru, Karnataka studying Ashtanga yoga.
I have been teaching yoga in the United States since 1998. Over the years I have learnt to open my mind to Western culture of yoga and have studied and taught Hot Vinyasa, Yoga Sculpt, Yoga Ball, Yoga Pilates.
Vinyasa Flow (L1&2)
Thursdays from 8:00 to 9:00 am
The class focus is on balanced mind and body. Each class starts with a gentle warm-up to connect breath to movement as we work our way through sun salutations with gentle poses at first gradually building to some challenging options and always keeping focus on body alignment. We will then work our way to grounding seated poses, twists incorporating core strength and then seal the practice with savasana.
