Jeri Senor, E-RYT has been involved in some form of yoga for a long, long time. She has been gifted with wisdom morsels from many traditions and teachers, but her greatest teacher has been her own personal home practice.
She has found that slowing down, moving inward, and feeling the practice has taught her how to deal effectively with her back issues. In her classes, she shares this exploration so that others can come into their own understanding of and potential to heal.
Yin Yoga (All Levels, Beginners Welcome)
Tuesdays from 4:00 to 5:15 pm
Yin Yoga is a deeply profound internal practice that brings present centered awareness in a few poses that are held in stillness from 1-5 minutes. The practice facilitates an opening up of the deeper connective tissues as well as the energy channels (meridians) that run through them. This class is meditative in nature and will include postures, breathing techniques, and relaxation.
Slow Flow (L 1&2)
Wednesdays from 9:45 to 10:45 am
A vinyasa (smoothly linking one pose to the next) flow style of Yoga that encourages breath awareness and slowing down in order to fully embrace each posture is at the heart of this practice. A mix of Sun Salutations, standing and longer held floor postures will be incorporated into a meditative dance in order to bring greater freedom of movement and clarity of mind. Relaxation in Corpse Pose will conclude the practice. Some yoga experience is recommended.
