Jeri Senor, E-RYT has been involved in some form of yoga for a long, long time. She has been gifted with wisdom morsels from many traditions and teachers, but her greatest teacher has been her own personal home practice.
She has found that slowing down, moving inward, and feeling the practice has taught her how to deal effectively with her back issues. In her classes, she shares this exploration so that others can come into their own understanding of and potential to heal.
Yin Yoga (All Levels)
Thursdays from 1:15 to 2:15 pm
The focus of this practice will be on holding a few passive poses for a longer period of time in order to reach the deeper connective tissues of the joints and the corresponding energetic pathways of the meridian system. Participants will be guided using the 3 basic principals of a yin style of practice in each pose: finding your personal edge by listening inwardly, being still and mindfully releasing into the shape of the pose, consciously engaging in the sensations for a pre-set amount of time (1-5 minutes). Being at home in your body by increasing flexibility, removing energy blocks, and coming into a calmer more focused you is the intent.
