Britt Patterson, MA, RYT-200
Britt’s yoga teaching is grounded in studies of Humanistic and Transpersonal Psychology, yoga instruction in India, and teacher training at Asheville Community Yoga. Her interests lie in human experience and the potential for growth, creativity, and change. She’s quirky and genuine, enjoying a bit of spontaneity while valuing intentional living as well. Britt spends much of her time doing therapeutic work specializing in high needs adolescents, grief and loss, and complicated family dynamics. This work informs her yoga teaching with presence to calm anxieties and compassion to appreciate unique circumstances that can complicate and enrich an individual’s yoga experience. Britt works well with folks who are brand new to yoga and meditation by giving detailed instruction and by holding a space that is relaxed and supportive. Other than yoga and therapeutic work, Britt appreciates singing everyday phrases, reading a lot of random books, spending time in the woods, and traveling the world.
