Paige is originally from Louisiana but spent a number of years in the small mountain town of Manitou Springs, Colorado. The town is most famous for its natural springs, the Ute Indian grounds, and the healing community. Colorado gave her the foundation she needed to better understand holistic medicine. She completed her Hatha yoga training under Joy Purna at the Manitou Yoga School in March of 2012. The yoga training was centered around Eastern philosophy, Quantum Physics, Anatomy, Asanas, and Aryuvedic Medicine. She has taught yoga at various locations in the New Orleans, as well as retreat centers in Mexico and Guatemala. She has recently moved to the Asheville area from New Orleans and just recently had a baby girl.
Mom and Baby Yoga with Paige on Thursdays from 10:00-11:00
Mother Baby yoga is a class designed to give postpartum mothers a gentle workout while bonding with their babies. This one hour class will focus on rebuilding strength and flexibility, give opportunities for baby participation, and connect with other moms. Special attention is placed on developing and strengthening the back, core, and pelvic floor as well as relieving tension in the neck, shoulder, and back. Throughout the class you will have opportunities to involve your baby in movements, to hold him or her, or to have your baby close to you on your mat. We welcome babies up to 1 year old.
