Pratyahara: Turning on the Inner Light with Leaflin

Saturday, September 16th

12:30-2:30 p.m.

Pratyahara is the 5th of the 8 classical limbs of yoga as outlined by Patanjali in the Yoga Sutras. The word means “withdrawal of the senses”, and pratyahara is considered to be the bridge between the internal and external practices of yoga.

In this all levels workshop, we will be using a headwrap to assist us in the quieting of mental activity. In the safe container of the group, we will embark on a journey into deep inner space, using gentle movement, simple postures, breath, and sound to become more familiar with our own inner territory. As our minds turn inward and our inner eyes adjust to the darkness, what once seemed unknowable begins to reveal itself. When the headwraps are removed and we return to the outside world, we do so with renewed vision and clarity to take with us back into our lives!
This workshop is gentle and accessible for all levels of practitioner who are willing to make the journey. Headwraps will be provided.

Price: $20
