In this workshop, designed for all levels, you will learn techniques that will help improve the health of your low back and hips. You will find more freedom in your shoulders and knees while improving your posture. Join Margaret for an afternoon of Therapeutic Yoga. Guided breathing and meditation will be included!

Please join Izzy for this all levels workshop where the ABCs of developing a healthy home practice will be explored.  Come discuss the unique benefits and freedoms of practicing at home and learn proven methods to developing a mental and physical space that will sustain your practice, body and mind.

Chair Yoga at Good Ol’ Days with Earth Fare in South Asheville

Tuesday, March 6th and 27th, 5-7pm, South Asheville Earth Fare location

Asheville Community Yoga and Earth Fare are partnering up to bring more health and wellness opportunities to our community at an affordable rate! Margaret will be at Earth Fare’s South Asheville location, twice during the month of March, offering chair yoga classes by donation. On Tuesdays at Earth Fare you can get a prime rib dinner with mashed potatoes and grilled veggies for just $8.99. Nothing will help your digestion after that meal like a good ol’ chair yoga class! Come see us out in the community. We’ll be there from 5-7pm!

An Asheville Community Yoga teacher will be at Earth Fare’s Family Dinner Night on March 8th. This event is taking place at Earth Fare’s South Asheville location. Join Asheville Community Yoga and Earth Fare for a nutritious meal and KID YOGA!!! Remember, kids eat for free at Earth Fare on Thursday nights!

Hip Thrift Fund Raiser!!!

Saturday, March 10th, 12-5pm, Hip Thrift Thrift Store in West Asheville

Hip Thrift will be holding their first big event with face painting, mini golf, music, hula hooping and more…  They will be donating 10% of their store sales to expansion project.    We will have a table set up and will be bringing the art work that has been donated to the center.  If you have art, jewelry, etc… that you have been thinking about donating, we would love to have it by March 9th to include at the table for this event.

Movie Night – “I AM”

I AM is an utterly engaging and entertaining non-fiction film that poses two practical and provocative questions: what’s wrong with our world, and what can we do to make it better?   The filmmaker behind the inquiry is Tom Shadyac, one of Hollywood’s leading comedy practitioners and the creative force behind such blockbusters as “Ace Ventura,” “Liar Liar,” “The Nutty Professor,” and “Bruce Almighty.”   However, in I AM, Shadyac steps in front of the camera to recount what happened to him after a cycling accident left him incapacitated, possibly for good. Though he ultimately recovered, he emerged with a new sense of purpose, determined to share his own awakening to his prior life of excess and greed, and to investigate

Thai Partner Yoga with Doah

Saturday, March 24th, 4:00-6:30pm

Thai Partner Yoga is a practice of compassion in action. Through tandem and assisted yoga postures, basic techniques from traditional Thai massage, chanting and meditation, we will cultivate sensitivity and the art of compassionate touch and explore ways that can help each other and ourselves open on a deeper level. No prior yoga or massage experience necessary!! Come alone or with a partner.
