May Service Project – Can You Dig It?

Calling all gardeners and landscapers! SIGN UP NOW for our landscaping projects in May!

Although it’s still early to begin planting, there is a lot of prep work to be done to get garden spaces ready. We will have designated gardening/landscaping groups working on specific projects, so please sign up at the front desk and share what your gardening skills and interests are, as well as your availability so we can match you up with the right task. Feel free to email Wendy at if you have any questions or wish to sign up. Thanks!

March Service Project

This month’s service project is continuing (and finishing!) the building expansion. As we’ve completed more of the manual labor portions of the expansion, we are moving more towards dry wall, painting and other detail oriented tasks. We will also begin working on our cafe and Zen & Now.

If you signed up for this type of work, we will be contacting you soon. If you haven’t already, please sign up at the front desk! You can also email Wendy at

December Service Project

Unity in Community ~ Taking Our Yoga Off the Mat

All month we are gathering in small groups to go out into the community and practicing Seva Yoga, the yoga of service. There are endless opportunities to help others and remember our connection with one another during this holiday season and beyond.

Get a bunch of friends and family members together, invite other yogis from the Center, and spread the joy of loving kindness and connection. Then post on our Facebook page and tell us what you did and how it made you feel. Photos would be great too!

Let’s expand our hearts and community through service this month!

SATURDAY, APRIL 30th, 8 am to 4 pm

We had an amazing time and learned so many new skills! Best of all we developed new friendships and worked with some of the wonderful people doing their sweat equity to buy their very own Habitat home. Special thanks to Elizabeth, Shawn, Carson, Ryan and Jamie for your hard work, dedication, and skills. We will definitely do this on a regular basis, so look for an opportunity to join us sometime soon!IMG_7087IMG_5341

GIANT Thank You to ALL of the Yogis who came out to help us clean and paint!

SATURDAY, MARCH 19th, from 3:30 to 6:30

Show your love for the Center and dedication to our practice by keeping things clean, tidy, and fresh!

We will be super cleaning those little nooks and crannies where dust bunnies love to hide, washing bolster covers and wrangling them back on, getting to know one another, stopping periodically to dance, practice, grab a snack, and just have a great time of fellowship, cleaning & fun!

Sign up at the front desk, so we know how many will be helping out. Feel free to stay the whole time or drop in for an hour or two and bring something yummy to snack on and share with others, if you’d like! Dress comfortably, so you can periodically stop to dance, practice, and stretch, and of course, clean!

Compassionate Communication ~ Taking Our Yoga Off the Mat

Deep gratitude to everyone who came out to support this wonderful event. Lots of requests to do it again, so look for this service project again during the summer, as we hit the streets with water, daily necessities, smiles and open hearts.

Throughout the month of January we will be collecting gently used and new gloves, hats and scarves. Then, on Sunday, January 31st at 1 pm, we will hit the streets of downtown to engage in compassionate communication with people who are often overlooked as they sit upon the sidewalks throughout our city. Sharing a smile and perhaps a pair of gloves or a warm hat, while looking into one another’s eyes with heart-felt compassion and kindness will expand our community and our practice in a whole new, beautiful way.
