Born in Merced, California, Mark traveled extensively with his military family. In his youth he lived in all but a few of the United States and spent his teenage years in Okinawa. After attending Ringling School of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida, he became a frame conservator for the Ringling Museum of Art and later worked as a set designer for the Ringling Brothers Circus and Disney on Ice.
That was then.
Now “retired” in Weaverville, Mark holds classes and workshops at his studio and continues to draw and paint the exquisite, inspiring
and ever-changing landscapes of Western North Carolina.  All of the frames you see here are designed and built by the artist to complement each piece.
Breathe deeply. Beauty surrounds us.

Snow Patrol! Are you ready?

We are calling on ALL volunteers!

We need an army of yogis who are willing to bring their shovels and help clear the parking lots and sidewalks when it snows.

Sign up next time you’re in class or email wendy@ashevillecommunityyoga.com

Thanks! You’re an angel!
